  New National President, NCRS

  Mr. Lokendra Kumar Shrestha, new national president of NCRS.
  
  The 19th General Assembly of Nepal Cancer Relief Society selected Mr. Lokendra Kumar Shrestha, a new National President of NCRS. He was the Vice-president of the oganization.

  Press Conference Organized

  A press conferecne was organized by NCRS on Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and Empowering health journalists for tobacco control legislation in Nepal. Mr. Prakash Singh Pradhan, General Secretary, NCRS presented a paper on FCTC to make media persons more clear about the issues related to tobacco control legislations.
  
  He also requested the health journalists and media persons to build up a national pressure over the government to enforce tobacco control legislations by writing articles on tobacco hazards and need of legislation for tobacco control.
